Volunteer Approval Process
The Stow-Munroe Falls City School District values the time and commitment of our volunteers. To help provide a safe and secure environment for all students, anyone serving as a District volunteer must complete the volunteer approval process at least 30 days before participating in any volunteer activity.
Volunteer Requirements
- Complete and submit a signed Volunteer Authentication Form at your child's school or the building where you will volunteer.
- Complete a BCI background check at the District's Central Office (4350 Allen Road, Stow, OH), Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Allow up to 30 days for processing.
- Pay the $27.00 BCI fee (cash or check only). All background checks are self-pay for both volunteers and staff.
- Approved BCI background checks are valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
- If additional screening is required, you will be notified during the approval process.
- Applicants who are not approved to volunteer will be notified in writing.
- Once approved, volunteers must check in using the Verkada visitor management system each time they visit a school and wear their printed visitor badge while on District property.
