Welcome to all of our Bulldog Families!
The Stow-Munroe Falls City School District has a longstanding tradition of academic, athletic and artistic excellence. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of this district and its leadership team. I am proud of not only the successes that our staff and students bring to the district, but of the positive attitude and environment that they create.
On November 8, residents of Stow-Munroe Falls City School District will see a 1.99 mill Permanent Improvement (PI) levy on the ballot. A PI levy allows a school district to make needed significant structural building repairs, such as roofing and equipment. By law, these dollars cannot be used for wages.
Currently, our district has an average of more than $1,500,000 in annual building, equipment and facility repairs, but less than $650,000 to pay for these repairs. By investing in our schools with a 1.99 mill PI levy, the district will be able to maintain and improve in a fiscally responsible manner. As such, modernization of classrooms to match our innovative instruction practices would be initiated, as well as the repaving of parking lots and security upgrades to model best safety practices. Permanent Improvement levy dollars would help our dedicated staff to expand the opportunities offered to our students.
The staff and administration of the district are committed to providing our students with quality instruction and an exceptional education that prepares them for life in college, careers and beyond. The district prides itself in these amazing individuals who strive to build lasting relationships and serve as examples for their students. I am truly blessed to be a Bulldog and wish our staff and students another successful and exceptional school year in 2016-2017.
