Stow-Munroe Falls Renewal Levies
Two Issues. Two Votes.
ZERO INCREASE IN TAXES
Two levy renewals for Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools:
Tuesday, November 3, is an important day for our schools and local community. The ballot includes many state and national candidate races and TWO ballot issues for our Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools.
On Nov. 3, residents will have the opportunity to vote on TWO renewal levies:
Passage of the renewal levies will not increase taxes, but it does ensure our students continue to receive the high-quality education, programs and services that they deserve and avoids budget cuts.
The school district has stretched the levy cycle and lives within its means. It’s been nearly 10 years since the district passed a levy for additional operating funds. At the same time, we’ve made several million dollars in reductions over that timespan in order to stay within our means, while still providing the quality education that our community expects.
The $4.6 million levy was previously approved May 5, 2015, if passed it will last for five more years. The $6.5 million levy was previously approved Nov. 8, 2011, if passed it will last for ten more years.
