Our Week at Lakeview

Save the date!  Jumpstart for the 2014-2015 school year will be held on August 20th (5th grade from 9-12 & 6th grade from 1:30-4:30.)  If you are unable to make your assigned time; we will be available from 6:00-7:30 for both grades. A general supply list is attached for your convenience.

 

The last few days of school have altered a bit.  Reminders below:

Thursday June 5 at 8:30: 6th Grade Awards Ceremony

Friday June 6 at 8:30: 5th Grade Awards Ceremony

Monday June 9 at 8:45: Lakeveiw Talent Show

Tuesday June 10: Field Day and Last Day of School

Report Cards will be sent home with students on June 10.  If your child is absent on this day, his or her report card will be mailed home.

If you know your child will not be attending school on June 9th or 10th becuase of prior engagements, please let the office know in advance and request a "vacation" form from the office.   Becuase of the unique circumstances most absences will be excused, but the school will need notice and documentation on the vacation form.  Thank you!

Announcements & Reminders

Students will be allowed to enter the building at 8:00 AM for the 2013 - 2014 School Year.  This is a change from last year.

As part of our new building security procedures, Lakeview will be locked every day at 3:45 p.m. beginning on Monday, February 4, 2013. All make-up work and forgotten items (books, homework, instruments, etc.) must be picked up by 3:45 p.m. each day. Custodians will not unlock doors for these purposes. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to make our building safe for students and staff.

NEW VISITOR PROCEDURES

As part of our new building security procedures, all visitors to Lakeview will be asked to leave their car keys at the front desk in return for a visitor lanyard. When you are ready to leave, you will be able to return your lanyard and retrieve your car keys. This procedure is in place in order to ensure that we get all visitor lanyards back.
