Lakeview Intermediate School

July 22, 2010

A special thanks go out to everyone who helped to make the 2009-10 school year so successful. The building custodians are working through this heat and are making great progress as they clean the building in preparation for the coming school year. Please look on this page for our grade level specific school supply lists.

The following dates are listed for your reference:

August 11 Lakeview offices open for the new school year.

August 19 Lakeview's Jump Start----Brief details are listed below.

August 26 First Day for students   A new school year starts at 8:15.

Jump Start information: The Lakeview families will receive a Welcome to Lakeview mailing around August 12th. The mailing will include information about Lakeview and it will have many of the initial forms for the parents to complete. We hope the families will bring their completed forms to the building during our August 19th Jump Start.

Jump Start will begin in the gym. Families will go through a line of stations handing in specific paperwork and collecting other information. When they get to the end of the line, the students will go through vision/hearing screening and have their school pictures taken. Information about the school picture packets will be in the August mailing. The families will then be free to move about the building finding their classrooms and visiting with other families.

Our target times have been established to help control the numbers, but families may come to the school during the times that best match their schedules.
9:00-12:00 Grade 5
1:30-4:30 Grade 6
5:30-7:30 Evening hours for both grades

We are looking forward to seeing you on August 19th.
