Instructional Models at Lakeview

There are currently 32 homerooms at Lakeview.  While every student at Lakeview will be assigned to a homeroom and most will receive instruction from a team of 2 teachers, fifth grade students could receive instruction in a Job Share classroom or in a self - contained classroom.  There are currently three classrooms that are taught by teachers in a Job Share position.  These students will have a morning teacher and an afternoon teacher.  Compared to our traditional two person teams, these students do not have a "switch" room, but still recieve instruction from two teachers.  Lakeview has 1  fifth grade homeroom that is a self - contained class.  That is a homeroom in which students have 1 teacher for all of their core subjects (language arts, math, science, and social studies).  The remaining 5th grade homerooms and all of the 6th grade homerooms are traditional two person teams in which students move between classrooms and teachers for instruction in the core subjects.

Distribution of Prescription and Over-the-Counter Medication

District policy for the distribuion of prescribed and over-the-counter medication is followed at Lakeview.  Distribution Request Forms from the doctor and parent must be on file in the health clinic.  An adult must bring the medication to school in its original container with the prescription label attached.  The medication will be distributed from the health clinic by the school nurse or from the office area by office personnel.

Our school nurse has requested that when sending medications for your student that you send meds in small bottles so that we have space to store everyone's medications.

Messages & Information

Calamity Day Reminder: Please remember that all Lakeview events are cancelled when Stow-Munroe Falls are closed for snow, ice, cold, or other reason. Please watch the website and newsletters for the rescheduling of any cancelled events.

We also appreciate the families who are following our traffic pattern while dropping off students in the morning and picking up students in the afternoon. Keeping our bus lane open for the busses and utilizing the east lane for ALL car traffic also helps ensure the safe arrival/departure of our students. We truly appreciate the families who are modeling "following the rules" for everyone!

Bands, choirs, and orchestra are scheduled to start at 7:30am. Our directors appreciate the efforts made by parents to have their students ready for rehearsals at 7:30.

Our teachers are ready to start with instruction each day following the 8:15 announcements and Pledge of Allegiance. Thank You to all the parents who have adjusted their morning routines to ensure that their child is at school and in the classrooms by 8:15, ready for instruction.

Breakfast is available each morning for all students. Students who receive Free Lunches as part of the Federal Governments Lunch program receive a Free Breakfast. Students who receive Reduced Lunch pay only 30 cents for their breakfast. Full price breakfasts only cost $1.40.
