Central Registration is now located at the Board of Education building, 4350 Allen Road, Stow, OH  44224.  We are conveniently located near Steels Corners Road just two doors down from the Akron General Medical Center.

Please bring with you your child's original birth certificate or official passport (if not a U.S. citizen), proof of residency, health records (including immunization schedule), parent driver's license or state identification card and court records (if applicable) designating custody and the school district responsible for education.  Students enrolling at the high school will need a copy of their transcript and report card from the previous school attended. If your child has an IEP/MFE from your previous school, please bring a copy with you for proper placement.

Please note children without original or notarized copy of birth certificates will not be enrolled.  It is not necessary to bring the new student to registration.  The registration process should take approximately 15 - 20 minutes if your registration packet is filled out in advance.

Kindergarten Registration

Children enrolling in Kindergarten must be age 5 on or before September 30th. Registration packets may be printed from this website (see above), picked up from any school office or the Board of Education office. Parents will need to bring the following:

  • registration packet
  • child's original birth certificate
  • immunization records
  • proof of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, home deed) from your home address (no phone bills please)
  • your driver's license or other photo i.d.
  • court documents that pertain to custody of the child designating residential parent for education (if applicable) 

 A full set of originals (and one copy of each document) is required. Copying of documents along with filling out the registration packet in advance will be time saving to parents.

In addition to the half day KG program, the district will offer All Day Kindergarten at a cost of $2,861.58 per year. A $100 deposit is due at the time of registration.  Cash, check or money order will be accepted.

Original or notarized copy of birth certificates are required for registration. It is not necessary to bring the new student to registration. The registration process should take approximately 15 - 20 minutes if your registration packet is filled out in advance.

Preschool Learning Guide for Families: Preparing for Kindergarten Success is designed for families of children ages 3 to the start of kindergarten. This brochure provides information as to the meaning of a standards-based education and ways in which families can help their children in reading, mathematics, social studies and science as a preparation for kindergarten. Kindergarten Family Guide

A Standards Guide for Families: Kindergarten is designed to help family members of kindergarten children understand Ohio’s new academic content standards. The information in these guides gives families a sample of some of the things kindergarten children need to know and be able to do in reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies. Open Enrollment

Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools offers two types of Open Enrollment: INTERDISTRICT Open Enrollment and INTRADISTRICT Open Enrollment.  The following describes which application will be required for your child(ren)'s enrollment.

I currently reside outside of the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District and wish to apply for Open Enrollment.
